While I'm as delighted as anyone on the right-leaning side of the political spectrum to see Van Jones resign, what I'd really like to know is whether the Secret Service or FBI were overruled by higher-up officials in the process of hiring any of Obama's so-called "czars." I mean, communists are not allowed to get green cards -- why should one as blatant and obvious about his totalitarian and generally lunatic convictions as Van Jones be allowed to manage a $60 billion budget in the Oval Office as the so-called "green jobs" "czar"?
As Glenn Beck amply demonstrated, no special investigative skills were required to find loads of evidence of this guy's past activities as a radical self-styled Maoist "revolutionary." And Valerie Jarrett, one of Obama's closest advisors, bragged at a recent Daily Kos conference in August that they have been closely following his career "since Oakland," which would have been the time he was a member of, for example, STORM. Either they're blithering idiots -- which I doubt -- or they're "of the same mind" to put it diplomatically.
Van is the poster child for those of us on the right who view the "Green" movement as a phoney-baloney political front for discredited communists. He practically admits as much himself. I suspect he was eased out for his shocking lack of subtlety, not his lack of ideological compatibility with anyone in the current White House.
And this is what is most bothersome about the manner in which his exit was orchestrated -- to a near total mainstream media blackout (which dutifully refused to cover any of the controversy until he was eased out), under the cover of night, in the middle of a holiday weekend. And even at that, it was emphasized carefully that Obama did not ask for his resignation. Indeed, Obama has yet to face a single question about his hiring.
Anyway, it's one down and dozens to go, as Barry has unsurprisingly surrounded himself with radicals like Van Jones. Some of the other czars are just as clearly "off the charts"... Mark Lloyd is my personal favorite "next candidate" because of his ties to Ayers and the Weather Underground alluded to by Beck, not to mention videos of his praise for Hugo Chavez's approach to getting back at the media. Given he's our "diversity czar" who is overseeing the FCC, he's clearly the biggest threat to the First Amendment to come along in a long while. But Barry's "politburo" of Congressionally unaccountable czars is sadly a target rich environment.
